Testimonial

“About 25 years ago, me, my dad, a very good friend and his dad spent about 5 days in the Boundary Waters. We established a base camp and took loooong canoe trips each day, portaging between lakes. I remember the calls of the loons in the morning. I remember the quiet on the last lake as we paddled back to camp each evening.

Our dads are gone but my friend and I still reminisce about this trip and revisit the shared memory. We laugh when we recount the time he and his dad tipped their canoe over in shallow water. My dad and I couldn't figure out what they were doing!

In honor of these memories, I am leaving part of my estate to Save the Boundary Waters. I hope everyone will have the chance to create their own memories at this special place long into the future."
