Please join us for an upcoming Save the Boundary Waters Update in Duluth with National Campaign Chair, Becky Rom, on Monday, July 26th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Commons of Lake Superior College (2101 Trinity Rd, Duluth, MN 55811). We will cover the major developments in our effort to protect and preserve the Boundary Waters, Quetico Provincial Park, and Voyageurs National Park from sulfide-ore copper mining and what you can do to help. Queer Boundary Waters Trip

We’re co-hosting a Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness expedition specifically for a group of outdoor industry and adventure community members who identify as LGBTQ+. Ely Outfitting Company is guiding this trip in collaboration with Mikah Meyer, adventure travel influencer and founder of the Outside Safe Space, and Save the Boundary Waters. Outside Safe Space promotes LGBTQ+ welcoming spaces in the outdoors.

Kids 4 BW Advocacy Fly-In to D.C.

Monday, October 25, 2021 to Thursday, October 28, 2021

Kids For The Boundary Waters will be flying into Washington, D.C. this fall 2021 to advocate on behalf of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. We want YOU to join us! This intense, four-day trip will begin with a group dinner for an advocacy training session. That evening you will be thoroughly educated and updated on the threat to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, you will practice your “pitch” for scheduled leadership meetings, and you will be armed with the tools needed to channel your passion into a highly effective advocacy message on behalf of the BWCA. All applications must be received no later than 11:59 pm on Sunday, August 22nd. Applications received after this time will not be considered in the selection process. Acceptance notifications will be sent by the 19th of September.
