Independence Day is fast approaching and we will once again be walking in Ely's 4th of July Parade. Join us and show your support for the Boundary Waters by walking with us in the parade! Please wear your favorite Save the Boundary Waters apparel. Meet us at the starting point of the parade at 12:30 - 12:40 p.m. located at Ely Ice Arena Parking Lot. The parade starts at 1:00 p.m.
Join Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness leaders and supporters for our annual Save the Boundary Waters Garden Party Fundraiser at the South Kawishiwi River Campground Pavilion to raise critical funds to permanently protect the Boundary Waters. Kids For The Boundary Waters will be flying into Washington, D.C. this fall 2021 to advocate on behalf of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. We want YOU to join us! This intense, four-day trip will begin with a group dinner for an advocacy training session. That evening you will be thoroughly educated and updated on the threat to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, you will practice your “pitch” for scheduled leadership meetings, and you will be armed with the tools needed to channel your passion into a highly effective advocacy message on behalf of the BWCA. All applications must be received no later than 11:59 pm on Sunday, August 22nd. Applications received after this time will not be considered in the selection process. Acceptance notifications will be sent by the 19th of September.
