I’m calling to tell Senator [NAME] to vote NO on House Joint Resolution 140, which would overturn critical protections for the Boundary Waters and create a dangerous precedent for public lands across the country.
The Boundary Waters is America’s most visited Wilderness, and a place I value and want to see protected. This resolution would open the headwaters to toxic copper mining by a foreign company that sends its minerals to China. Why are we risking cherished American public lands for foreign gain?
Once again, I’m asking Senator [NAME] to stand up for public lands and the American people by protecting the Boundary Waters and voting NO on House Joint Resolution 140. Thank you.
