Minnesota Takes Action for the Boundary Waters! Event Series

Join us for these community events across the state meant for every Minnesotan who cares about the Wilderness and our outdoor recreation heritage. Connect, Learn, Act. 

It’s more important than ever to get engaged and help protect the Boundary Waters. Minnesotans from all corners of the state must work to safeguard America’s most visited Wilderness from toxic copper mining. That’s why we’re holding events multiple local communities across the state.

Each event will feature engaging speakers, including our Executive Director Ingrid Lyons, who will dive into detail on the issue and where we are right now. Learn how you can immediately take action to protect the Boundary Waters, through a series of hands-on activities where you can interact with staff and learn about types of political and community activism that you can engage in right in your own backyard.

Refreshments will be provided, and Save the Boundary Waters stickers and merch will be available!

Brainerd Takes Action is a community event for everyone who cares about outdoor recreation, fishing, camping and clean water. You’ll hear updates on the Boundary Waters Wilderness protection work from Associate Director Sam Chadwick and more about new water quality research from Conservation Biologist Andrew Gardon. Come learn tools and tips you need to engage in advocacy for the lands and waterways you care about. Refreshments provided, and stickers and lawn signs will be available!
