Here’s where you can meet up with Save the Boundary Waters this month! (August 2022)

Summer break may be in full swing, but the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters is as busy as ever making progress in the fight for permanent Wilderness protections and growing the widespread support of our movement.

There are plenty of opportunities throughout this month (August 2022) to meet our staff and learn about our latest Campaign updates. Read on to see where you can find us:

August 6 and 13: Dane County Farmers’ Market from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: The Capitol Square in Madison, WI

Join Save the Boundary Waters at the Dane County Farmers’ Market in Madison, Wisconsin! The Farmer's Market is conveniently located on the tree-lined grounds surrounding the Wisconsin State Capitol building and offers tons of fresh produce and other local goodies. August 8: Supporter Celebration from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Where: Sociable Cider Werks in Minneapolis, MN

On the heels of some exciting Campaign milestones this summer, we invite you to join us at Sociable Cider Werks Monday, August 8, to celebrate the hard work of our staff, supporters, and volunteers. Come mingle, grab a tasty Superior Switchel or cider, and catch up with fellow BWCA enthusiasts! Ben and Jerry's will also be on site scooping out some tasty samples.
 

August 11: Boundary Waters Raffle from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Where: Midwest Mountaineering in Minneapolis, MN

On August 11, you have a chance to make a big upgrade to your outdoor equipment, all while supporting the fight for permanent Boundary Waters protections. Along with Midwest Mountaineering, we’re raffling off $5,000 in canoe gear! The first prize is a brand new Northstar Polaris StarLite Canoe with E6 Carbon Trim, and secondary prizes include 2 Sanborn paddles and a Cooke Custom Sewing Canoe Pack.The drawing takes place on August 11 during Midwest Mountaineering's 50th Anniversary Celebration — see how you can still get a ticket.
 

August 13: Red River Market from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: Broadway Square in Fargo, ND

We’ll be at Broadway Square in West Fargo for a day of canoe country clinics and family activities during the Red River Market series! We will have gear, a canoe, and a Boundary Waters guide who can teach skills necessary to visit the BWCAW, as well as provide insights into doing a trip to Canoe Country. There will also be an opportunity to learn about the threats to the Quetico Superior Ecosystem and how to get involved to permanently protect this place. Click here for more information.
 

August 14: Bridge the Valley Bike Rally from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Where: Lowell Park in Stillwater, MN

Join us at the Bridge the Valley Bike Rally in the heart of downtown Stillwater August 14th! Bring your bike and choose from five route options: 10, 25, 45, 70 and a 75-mile Gravel Challenge and ride across the historic lift bridge. After your ride, meet up with friends and family in downtown Stillwater to enjoy live music, refreshments along the St. Croix River, and find us for campaign updates!
 

August 20: Lake and Company from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
​​​​​​​Where: Lake and Company storefront in Stillwater, MN

Come to downtown Stillwater on Aug. 20 to get our latest Campaign updates and shop at one of Stillwater’s newest stores! You’ll be able to write a postcard to your Senator urging them to take action to permanently protect the BWCA, walk away with some free swag, and grab a copy of Lake and Company magazine during your weekend shopping!
 

September 22: Boundary Waters Gala from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Join us at the Boundary Waters Gala - before tickets run out! Grab your paddling partner for the Boundary Waters event of the year on Thursday, September 22 at Nicollet Island Pavilion. We’ll celebrate the Wilderness we all love, give you the latest developments in the fight for its protection, and offer an incredible silent auction with items from our excellent business allies — see a sneak peek of some items on our Twitter page.
